Every day in America, 30 people die in a drunk driving related accident.
An organization called “We Save Lives” set out to stop drunk drivers in their tracks before they ever leave the bar. And they did it with a very unique experiment.
Targeting a bar bathroom, they set up a TV behind the mirrors in the men’s bathroom and connected it to a convicted felon broadcasting from a prison in Florida. The man had a powerful message to share… and it caught them off guard.
The inmate, Chris Cadilla, was speeding down the wrong side of the highway after a night of drinking when he crashed into a Sheriff’s Deputy, killing him instantly. That tragic mistake landed Cadilla a 15 year prison sentence and a lot of time to think about what he would tell himself if he could go back in time.
He shared that sad, but needed, truth with the men in the bathroom. The conversation is quite eye-opening.
It may be too late for Cadilla, but in this PSA he lays it all on the line to deter potential drunk drivers.
