Whenever one of our United States soldiers is able to return to their families, it’s a good day.
Christina Cooke knew her husband, Sergeant BJ Cooke, would be returning from a 1-year deployment with the U.S. Army. She took their son Barry to the local park to shoot some hoops, all the while recording on her cell phone as she waited for BJ to show up to surprise their son. Little Barry will turn 4 soon, and he’s really missed his dad in spite of their frequent phone calls. As Christina’s camera rolled, we get a real treat when we see little Barry counting his basketball shots when suddenly he spots his dad. His reaction is truly heart-melting!
