If you pay close enough attention to the creatures of the ocean, you’re bound to make all sorts of interesting discoveries. In a video shared on Facebook, it seems that’s exactly what this person did while out on the water – and their discovery was heartbreaking. Upon first glance, the turtle may have seemed like any other, but, upon closer inspection, it needed to be rescued.
Although small, the turtle was covered in all sorts of life, all of which were only harming him. In addition to barnacles, there was a live crab attached to his back. With all that extra weight, the turtle struggled to swim.
Luckily, a kind passerby not only took notice of the turtle’s needs, they also stopped to help. After carefully removing all the unwanted visitors off of the turtle’s back, they were placed back in the ocean. The relief the poor little guy must have felt when finally freed came through in the way he happily swam away.
