Baby Manatee And Mom Caught Hugging Each Other Underwater In Precious Footage

A mom manatee hugs her baby as they kiss her chin.

The love between a mom and her little one can’t be compared, no matter if the two are humans or sea creatures. Most of the time, we don’t get a chance to see these underwater relationships up close, but thanks to tour guides like Get Up And Go Kayaking (GUAGK), it’s a lot easier. This Florida-based company offers some of the most unique tours around. During a recent one, a particularly adorable baby manatee was spotted.

But the baby manatee wasn’t alone. Rather, they were staying right next to their mom’s side. As the group passed, the little one seemingly gives mom a kiss on her chin. In turn, Mom wraps her flippers around her baby, bringing them closer for the sweetest hug. Thankfully, tour guide Josh caught the moment in the video below!

Baby Manatee and Mom Share Sweet Embrace

Part of what makes these tours so special is that they take place in transparent kayaks. While this may make the trip a bit more scary, it also provides guests with optimal views. This one was best seen on camera, though, and people can’t get enough of it!

“Tell me animals don’t have feelings!” one person writes.

“A Mom and her calf is such a precious gift to see,” another person shares. “Thanks for this amazing video.”

As long as we keep a safe distance, there’s so much joy to be had from observing the creatures we share this wonderful planet with! We really are so much more alike that it may seem.
