When you take your three-year-old to the store, they may share their world-view with you. This mom discovered that her daughter might need to pay more attention in Sunday school. Or maybe she should watch “The Mandalorian.” Whatever the case, Mom has some explaining to do! When she saw a picture of Baby Yoda, the tiny tot thought she was looking at Baby Jesus.

As many of you know, Baby Yoda is one of the primary characters from the “Star Wars” series “The Mandalorian” on Disney Channel. The character’s real name is Grogu, but that was not revealed immediately. Fans named him Baby Yoda, which stuck.
The character is an adorable toddler version of the same species as Jedi Master Yoda from other franchise movies. The character’s age was revealed as “around 50 years old.” His species ages differently, so he still presents as what humans consider a toddler. When the Mandalorian adopted the foundling Grogu, his name became Din Grogu. He is now in training as a Mandalorian apprentice.
The adorable case of mistaken identity begins when the mother and daughter are in a department store. We’re guessing they are in the home decor area. When the small girl pointed at a picture, her mom asked if she knew who was in the picture. The child responded, “It’s Baby Jesus.”
Baby Yoda Is In A “Spaceship” After All
When her mom tries to discuss the picture with her daughter, presumably to clear up the confusion, the daughter says, “He’s riding in a spaceship!” That explains everything! Baby Jesus came to Earth in a spaceship. I might have slept through that lesson in Sunday school.
While we poke fun at this innocent case of mistaken identity, I want to mention that degrading a child for making mistakes like this is mean. If you ever face a situation like this, please take care and explain things gently. There is absolutely nothing wrong with mistaking Baby Yoda for Baby Jesus. The child’s reasoning in thinking that Baby Jesus came to Earth in a spaceship is not so far-fetched in the mind of a child. So don’t be mean and tease. It is okay to laugh, but also be gentle and explain. If you enjoyed this trip through home decor, please be certain to share.
