We should start by saying that kids know what they like. If given the opportunity to choose, even at a young age, a baby will select a toy and clothes that are “comfortable” to them. Sometimes it is a favorite color, the brightness of an object, or the shape that attracts them. Social media user SailorElaine is wondering if the toy her baby selected might be cause for concern.

Elaine’s daughter became attached to a stuffed Valak doll while shopping at their local Walmart. Did you catch yourself thinking, “No big deal, it’s just a nun, and the family is Catholic”? Yes, Valak is, technically, a nun, but she is the fictitious demon nun from The Conjuring series of horror movies.
Valak isn’t actually a nun; that is just one of the creature’s favorite forms in the movie. The fictional Valak is based on folklore tales dating as far back as the 17th century. Mythology never portrayed Valak as a nun. Most references portray him as a small child with angel wings riding a dragon with two heads. I think that depiction would certainly make for a fun plush version.
As we stated earlier, children will choose what they like. For this baby, her toy of choice is not exactly mainstream. She could have selected the Annabelle doll from the same manufacturer.
Toddler Lily selected a ghoulish doll for her sister Violet. Lily isn’t a shining example of a normal kid. Her Mom, Brittikitty on TikTok, took her to a face painter for Halloween one year. Lily’s choice for face paint was Pennywise the Clown.
