One of Marvel’s biggest fans, Seb, has been put through the wringer. His medical issues have led to him having open heart surgery. This type of procedure is scary for anyone to go through, much less a child. That’s why his dad, Ivan Hollingsworth, decided to reach out on Twitter in hopes that at least one Marvel actor would take the time to send a message of encouragement.
This request felt like a long shot to Ivan, but within a single day the messages started rolling in! The first came from Ryan Reynolds, AKA Deadpool! His message came in the form of a video, making it all the more exciting.
“I just wanted to send you my well wishes and send you all my love,” Reynolds said in the heartfelt video. “And I hope we get to meet in person one of these days, pal. Hang in there. You’re doing amazing, and I’m super proud of you.”
But the kind messages didn’t end there!
Since Ivan reached out on Twitter, several more Marvel actors have taken the time to reply with their own messages of encouragement to help this sweet kiddo through such a difficult time. Needless to say, Seb has been blown away by each and every one of them!
Four days since heart surgery, Seb has gotten replies from Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Ruffalo, and Chris Hemsworth! Best of all, his dad is happy to report that he’s been recovering well!
Wow! Can you imagine being a kid and getting so many heroes you look up to sending you well wishes? We’re so happy Seb has such a great support system, and we wish him a full and speedy recovery!
