Bride Asks Guests To Wear Old Bridal Gowns To Her Wedding & The Pics Are Too Good.

One of the reasons women look forward to getting married is that at their wedding, they’re the most special person in attendance. All eyes are focused on them.

From the time they’re little girls, many fantasize about feeling like a princess for a day. They’ll be the one wearing the most exquisite dress, and nobody else can outshine them. But one new bride didn’t mind sharing the spotlight at all when she recently tied the knot – in fact, she insisted on it.

On Dec. 30, actress Audrey Moore, known best for her roles in “Better Call Saul” and the Netflix series, “Godless,” married her partner of nine years, Jesse Lumen. When the pair got engaged, they knew they didn’t want a traditional ceremony or reception.

Moore remembered going to each of her friends’ weddings and marveling at how beautiful they looked in their own bridal gowns. “I’m the last one to be married in my group of friends,” she said. “A lot of them told me they were sad they had never worn their dress again.” So she figured she could give them a chance to wear those white dresses one more time… at her own wedding!

Moore shared the plan with her bridal party, who were all for it. Some wore their own old wedding dresses, while others borrowed from friends or family members.

Moore certainly felt like a princess in her gorgeous blue Cinderella- and Elsa-inspired gown, but she enjoyed watching her loved ones shine even more. “When people spend so much money on a dress it’s great if they wear it again and feel magical as many times as they like,” Moore said.

Keeping with the non-traditional aspects of the wedding, Moore and Lumen’s mothers served as flower girls. Don’t they look great?

…and friends and family who hadn’t already gotten married were invited to wear costumes of their choosing. Moore and Lumen changed into their own costumes for the after-party, during which a slideshow featured photos from their guests’ weddings.

The reception even hosted a variety of arcade games and a theater-style concessions bar! Lumen shared photos of the event on Reddit and Imgur, writing, “We threw the wedding we always wanted to go to, and we think it was a great success!”

What a thoughtful, fun way to make your friends feel special on a day that’s traditionally supposed to be all about you! It’s clear Moore cares a ton about the people around her. Congratulations, Moore and Lumen, on your new marriage. We’re so happy for you!
