Kids at Children's Healthcare were excited to meet the famous ballplayer.

A professional baseball player recently showed his compassionate side when he took the time to visit patients at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Michael Harris II, centerfielder for the Atlanta Braves, spent Wednesday cheering up kids in various units throughout the hospital and learning about their treatment. He also took the opportunity to get to know patients’ families. Even the therapy dogs got some love from the athlete, 11 Alive tells us!

Michael wanted to make sure that his fans had something special to remember his visit by, so he brought along plenty of autographed team merch to give away. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta issued a press release about the visit, saying that the ballplayer stopped in at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorder Center, among other areas.
