A crew of astronauts on the International Space Station (ISS) were being interviewed and were asked if they had lost anything in the station. They gave each other knowing looks before confessing that they had accused their astronaut friend of eating tomatoes… only for them to be found in space eight months later!

It’s easy to lose things when gravity isn’t a consideration. Imagine a world where you could have a messy bedroom, but there weren’t even gravitational limits!

These astronauts face that reality every day. So I guess it’s not too crazy to have lost a few things along the way!

Their astronaut pal who had gone home was accused of eating tomatoes, but they were only lost! I wonder what condition the fruit were in when they were discovered!

These tomatoes were grown as a part of the Veg-05 study. Astronauts are growing crops in space and bringing them back to Earth to learn about them. Fresh food production in space seems strange, but we’re learning more about it every day!

Check out this awesome NASA interview, including the hilarious tomato mystery, below. These astronauts are unbelievably impressive.
