It all starts in 2013. While in the parking lot of her workplace in Tempe, Arizona, she notices something. It’s a dollar bill, which might not seem like much, but it’s ripped at the corner. In that moment, she decides to keep it for “good luck.”

In that same year, a man finds himself at a bar in Scottsdale, Arizona. There, he also finds a ripped dollar bill. But for him, the only thing that’s left is the left corner. He also decides to keep it for “good luck.”
Fast forward to five years later: This woman and man are engaged. But it isn’t until they’re at the courthouse for their marriage license when the woman notices he has a ripped dollar bill in his wallet. But it’s not just any dollar bill — it’s clearly the piece missing from the one she kept.
“I carried my portion of the dollar bill wrapped around my bouquet when we got married a few months later,” the woman shares.
Wow! What are the odds!? There’s no doubt that, after all of that, this sweet couple will be holding onto this ripped dollar bill forever. What a beautiful, serendipitous story for them to be able to tell others!
