Son Surprises “Angry Grandpa” With Dream Car & His Emotional Reaction Has Millions In Tears.

Charlie Green was known to most as the “Angry Grandpa” from his YouTube Channel “The Angry Grandpa Show”. The show consisted of videos of Charlie’s anger towards things like Valentines Day and Play Station 4s, confrontations with people, and pranks.

Angry Grandpa had more than 4 million followers on YouTube, making him internet-famous, thanks in part to his son, Michael, who filmed Charlie’s videos and helped him navigate the world wide web.

In July 2017, Charlie was diagnosed with cirrhosis (liver failure) – one more condition added to an already long list of health problems for the star. Charlie shared the news with his fans, but the news obviously hit his family the hardest.

According to Michael, Charlie had two things on his life “bucket list”: to own his own home (which Michael purchased for him in 2016) and to own a 1955 Chevy Bel Air.

So, for Christmas, Michael decided to check off the second item on the list. In a video posted to YouTube, Charlie tells the story of his first car, a 1955 Chevy Bel Air, which his parents purchased for him for $250 so he could get to and from his job at the local Piggly Wiggly. Then, when his sister and her husband had moved to California, Charlie’s parents “took” the car to give to the couple.

Somewhere along the way, the car broke down.Charlie gets choked up as he explains that his sister just gave the car to a local junk yard, and never asked if he wanted to come get it.

So, you can imagine Charlie’s shock when a 1955 Chevy Bel Air pulled into his driveway and his son handed him the keys.

The “angry” grandpa was definitely overwhelmed with emotion by the gift, but it was far from anger. He couldn’t seem to believe the car was actually his, even when Michael said to him, “I told you I’d get it for you someday.”

On December 10, 2017, Charlie passed away. Michael posted the car video on December 13, as a tribute to his dad, and all of his fans.

It touched the hearts of so many. Thousands of fans have left condolences, and comments remembering Charlie as the wonderful man he was and thanking Michael for doing right by his dad.
