When Elvis Presley snagged his first record deal in 1954, there was no one that could compare to his incredible style. His rockabilly-infused tunes were influenced by the greats like Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis.
But there was just something about Presley’s style that was able to bridge the Rock ‘n’ Roll mainstream gap.
Presley’s first RCA single, “Heartbreak Hotel,” was released in January 1956 and became a number-one hit in the United States. He was regarded as the leading figure of this genre after a series of successful network television appearances and chart-topping records.
No one could have known that Presley would become King of Rock ‘n’ Roll – and no one could have stopped it.
One of Presley’s most celebrated songs was not in the same style that made him famous. Elvis sang the song, “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” with a delicate croon that continues to warm hearts all around the world. We’ve heard some great covers of the iconic song before, but the one we’ve found for you just may give The King a run for his money.
