That’s because they have nurse Amy-Lynn Howson around, who just so happens to be a talented singer-songwriter! While she was working in the ICU one evening, she couldn’t help but notice how heavy the atmosphere was. So she traded her stethoscope in for a guitar to bring everyone some much-needed cheer!
She sang “You Are Not Alone,” an original song she wrote for a friend dealing with mental health struggles. It was the perfect choice for her patients, who needed a sweet reminder to stay strong.
“I love helping patients feel seen and understood, and it is truly a privilege to be with them in their most vulnerable moments and to let them know they are not alone,” Amy-Lynn said.
Listen to her impromptu concert in the video below, and share this story to remind someone that they aren’t alone.
