Police Officers Swoop In To Save Frightened Kitten From Middle Of Highway.

While headed down Interstate 20, some police officers happened to notice a small tabby cat near a grate in the road. Instantly, a rescue mission was set in place.

Animal control showed up, and together, they carefully approached the kitten. The poor thing didn’t trust his rescuers at first, hissing as he backed himself into a corner right on top of the grate. Finally, with a little reassurance, someone was able to pick him up and transport him to a car, where he was taken to the Chuck Silcox Animal Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

The police department has since shared footage of the rescue, asking for help naming the sweet kitten, who has yet to be adopted. After some deliberation, they finally landed on what has to be the purrfect name: Alexander (The Grate). With his precious face and an incredible name like that, we can’t imagine he’ll be available for adoption for much longer!

Watch Alexander (The Grate) be rescued in the video below, and don’t forget to share this story.
