Dad transforms baby boy into naughty leprechaun for St. Patty’s day, and it’s adorable!

While most think of parades and cheers-ing for St. Patrick’s day, Alan Lawrence just sees another chance to put his mischievous Photoshop skills to use.

It was only December when the man from Paradise, Utah decided to turn his son into an Elf on the Shelf.

Now he’s using the Irish holiday and his Photoshop skills to make his 6-month-old son look like he’s up to no good… as a mischievous leprechaun! You can find more on Lawrence’s That Dad Blog, his Instagram or Facebook pages.

We just sat down to breakfast when the doorbell rang. Apparently he wanted to make an official entrance as a leprechaun. Im not sure if the beard is real, every time I try to touch it he kicks me in the shins. Looks like it’s time to start sleeping with one eye open again. #rocktheelf @nikkizl

Rockwell, the adorable baby son featured in the series, loves dressing up for his dad (who is art director, web designer and photographer).

“He doesn’t mind the suit, but is not a fan of the beard – he drools a lot and it always manages to get in his mouth,” Lawrence said.

Tonight he “surprised” me by modifying my Air Jordan’s! He said the improvement would help me “bring my A-game.” #rocktheelf

“We almost didn’t have him wear the beard because we couldn’t find anything that looked good,” Lawrence told TODAY Parents.

“When you search for orange beards for babies on Amazon, the results are not awesome. At the very last minute we ended up finding some fluffy fabric that looked perfect.”

I have no idea what these two have planned for March but they sure have been spending a lot of time in @nikkizl sewing room. They’ve asked me to slide sandwiches and pixy sticks under the door for the past three days but today I managed to snap this photo before they noticed me. But no matter what, Lawrence is dedicated to making the photos look as real as possible. Because although it would be pretty awesome to have a baby pouring paint into a washing machine, taking a pot of gold out the front door or taping other kids to walls, dad goes with a different approach.

When I opened the door he told me to calm down because he had already run one load with green paint and it turned out fine. #rocktheelf

He hasn’t quite perfected his Irish accent. It sounds like a mix between Yoda and Alvin the Chipmunk. I got a kick out of hearing him tell Nik, “Don’t be messing with me pot of gold!”every time he passed him hanging on the wall. #rocktheelf

He actually holds Rockwell in every photo and simply photoshops himself out later.

I think he’s worried about the kids getting into his gold when he’s napping. I didn’t have the heart to tell him that they’re just chocolates. #rocktheelf

Lawrence’s absolute favorite creation is Rockwell looking very guilty after he spray painted the family dog green.
