It’s not everyday when we get proof that love is literally in the air!
A newly-resurfaced video from 2009 is going viral thanks to a post on Reddit. The short clip shows airplanes at Vancouver International Airport taxying on the runway as an air traffic controller communicates with the pilot of an Air Canada flight on route to Montreal. As we listen in, the ATC reveals that his girlfriend is on the plane, and he had intended to pop the question before she boarded but “chickened out.”
Like any good wingman, the pilot tells the lovesick ATC that it’s not too late, then patches him in so he’s addressing the entire plane.
“Christine, I’m crazy in love with you, can’t imagine my life without you,” he tells her as the whole plane listens in. “You can’t see me right now, but I’m down on one knee. I have a ring in my hand. Christine, will you make me the happiest man in the world and be my wife?”
