After His Passing, Dad Who Didn’t Want Another Cat “Sends” Family A Purrfect Sign

Bethany’s dad never wanted a third cat. But after he passed away in December 2022, her family decided that it was time for a new feline to join their family. Little did they know, however, that this new cat would seemingly deliver a sign from Dad. But to understand why the sign is significant, Bethany shares details on the message she received from a medium.

According to Bethany, shortly after her dad died, she and her sister went to see a medium. Here, they were told that their late father was sending them “bear hugs.” Although this was sweet to hear in the moment, nothing can compare to how they felt once they met their newest feline family member.

When it came time to search for a new cat, Bethany’s family ventured to a local rescue. Here, they met all sorts of wonderful cats. Still, they were struggling to find “the one.” At least that was the case at first.

Once the family shared that they weren’t feeling a connection with any of the cats, a worker there decided to introduce them to an anxious cat they keep in the back.

Cat “Sends” Family a Sign From Late Dad

As if this first interaction wasn’t a big enough sign, the rescue worker then shared that the cat’s name is… Bear! That’s right — it’s as if their dad was giving them a “Bear hug!”

As you can imagine, having this cat around has meant the world to to Bethany and her family. That’s because, with each hug Bear gives them, it feels like a hug from their dad, too.

“Now he hugs us whenever we’re sad,” Bethany says.
