In this precious footage, Amber sat down with her foster daughter to deliver the good news. During their talk, the little girl admitted that she didn’t want to leave. That’s when Mom knew it was the perfect time to tell her that she wasn’t going anywhere!

“Daddy and I are going to adopt you,” Amber said.

In that moment, the most adorable smile took over the child’s face. When Mom asked her foster daughter how she felt about this development, the young girl could think of only one word to describe her feelings: happy! Even though she was still grinning at the news, her eyes welled up with tears. Then, she threw her arms around her new mother’s neck in a big hug!

“She was having such a hard time with her emotions,” Mom wrote in her video. “I knew it was because she was afraid that she would be removed from our home.”

Unfortunately, Amber couldn’t reassure the little girl any sooner.

“We had to wait for the agency to give us the OK to tell her that she was getting adopted,” she explained. “We were so excited to finally tell her. It gave her so much peace.”
