The singer was performing in an ITV special called, “An Audience With Adele” at the London Palladium when she received a heartwarming surprise. During the special, celebrity audience members asked Adele questions, and actress Emma Thompson asked whether there’d ever been someone who supported, inspired, and protected her as she was growing up.
Adele said there was a teacher named Miss McDonald at Chestnut Grove who she still thinks about a lot, but they hadn’t kept in touch.
“It was just one year, but she got me really into literature,” she said. “I’ve always been obsessed with English, and obviously now I write lyrics … She was just … cool and so relatable and likable that I really looked forward to my English lessons.â€
That’s when Emma told Adele that Miss McDonald was in the audience! As soon as the teacher came on stage Adele started to cry so much that she had to have her makeup redone. Just when we thought we couldn’t love Adele more, she does something so sweet and relatable we can’t help but adore her.
Watch her heartwarming exchange with her teacher in the video below, and be sure to share.
We all have that one teacher who changed our life… such a beautiful reunion! â¤ï¸
