Raising children is not easy. Not only do we have to worry about our own kids, but we also have to brace ourselves for other people’s children. Our goal is to raise kind, productive, and honorable members of society. Sometimes kids bully each other, causing self-doubt. But if we instill self-confidence, our kids can stand up for themselves and always know their value. Marren Droubay did just that, and her daughter, Emmie May, had the most incredible clapback when kids started to bully her.

Emmie May Oozes Self-Confidence
Maren shared a video on Instagram of Emmie May after a hard day at school. When the bullies told her they didn’t’ like her, Emmie May was ready with an amazing response.
“Well, guess what?” She said confidently. “My family thinks I’m a princess, and I’m super kind and nice. And they think that that’s who I am. But if you don’t think that that’s OK because that’s what I think of myself. That’s who I actually am and who I know who I am.”
“I know who I am,” Maren shared on Instagram. “One of those moments where you realize you might be doing at least one thing right as a parent… I love our Emmie May so much, it hurts. I hope someday I can have this much confidence in myself, too.”
“Who could not like her? I was expecting I don’t like you either,” someone wrote.
“So proud of you, Emmie May!” Barbie commented from her official Insta account.
Many praised Maren for raising a strong, confident girl.
“She repeats what she hears and learns from the way Mom talks about herself. You’re such a good Momma, Maren!!” A comment reads.
“32-year-old man. I don’t even have this kind of self confidence and self awareness. Kudos to you guys,” a man agreed.
Talk about a mic drop moment. This little girl has more self-confidence than many adults, way to go, Maren.
