When a couple finds out they are expecting a new arrival, they sit down to figure out who to tell first and how. Gemma loves her mother-in-law, Rhonda. To make the occasion special (and a little mysterious), a small gift was prepared. Rhonda’s favorite bird is the cardinal. Gemma picked up a small cardinal and put a note inside it. Rhonda immediately fell in love with the bird, and was even more overjoyed about the secret note before she read it.
The note contained the news about the pregnancy, and Rhonda’s reaction was priceless. Since the note was inside the tiny bird, Rhonda can tell all her friends that “a little birdie” told her. No lies detected!
When Rhonda extracted the tiny note, she explained how much she loved little things like this special gift with a hidden message. As she read the tiny strip of paper, she was in shock at first. From there, the waterworks started, and she was smiling and crying. The rapid progression of emotions took mere seconds.
Still in semi-shock, she reread the note, exclaiming, “Oh my God.” Although Gemma’s husband is currently deployed overseas, he was able to join in this surprise via the magical marvel of the internet. You can hear him speaking in the background as if he is standing next to Gemma. In actuality, he was hiding among the groceries.
