Huge Royal Family Fan Shows Off Royal Cypher Tattoos To Queen Camilla

Tattoos Queen Camilla

In the last few decades, tattoos and body art have become increasingly more popular. People love to express themselves with beautiful designs in ink. Tattoos aren’t for everyone, but they are definitely much more common than they used to be. Some people use their tattoos to honor others. One man feels so passionately about the royal family that he’s inked his body to share his enthusiasm. According to the Daily Mail, Phil Smith, 61, showed off his tattoos to Queen Camilla and the Sandringham Flower Show on July 23. He reportedly said they “bloody hurt,” which even made the queen laugh.

Queen Camilla Made Sure Phil Smith Knew He Was In Good Company With His Tattoos

After Phil showed off his royal cypher tattoo, Queen Camilla told him one of her police protection officers had one, too. Phil has a total of four tattoos on his leg, including Queen Elizabeth’s royal cypher and those of both Charles and Camilla.

Phil Smith told the Daily Mail he’d been corresponding with Queen Camilla for years, even before she wed Charles.

“I just think she’s fabulous and have got to know her a bit. We just hit it off,” he explained. “I love the royal family and she in particular has got a good sense of humour. She frequently responds.”

Phil said he wanted to show Camilla his newest tattoo in person,

“Honestly, she’s just great. We exchange letters. She knew who I was. She asked how long it [the latest one] took and I told her about two and a half hours, Phil said. “But I told her this one bloody hurt. She just finds it hilarious. She pulled her police officer’s sleeve and said ‘look, it’s catching on!”

Who knows. Maybe Queen Camilla is one of those people who hides her tattoos from the world. You never really know.
