The scene was playing out like a remake of the movie “The Birds.” Unfortunately for this beachgoer, the seagulls trying to steal his snack were untrained and all too real. His evasive tactics were no match for the flying horde as they chased him across the beach.

He zigged and zagged, and they countered each move with incredible aeronautical skill. This clip gives authenticity to the seagull scene in “Finding Nemo.” The artists knew precisely how to convey realism when the seagulls were chasing Marlon, Dory, and the pelican.
We’re not sure if the man running on the beach was for comedic effect or a spontaneous event. The man is using every bit of his athletic prowess to escape and evade the menacing birds. The birds exercise aerial maneuvers with the skill of Top Gun pilots in a dogfight with the Red Baron.
We can’t tell what kind of food the man might be trying to eat. He probably had to stop eating to concentrate more fully on his breathing and running. The seagulls were relentless as they attempted to steal his snack.

Seagulls are scavengers and will eat almost anything. They congregate around places where people are because humans always drop food. Although typically not aggressive, they can be demanding. Their natural diet consists of fish, rodents, insects, and a variety of other animals.
Seagulls are opportunistic and will steal a snack any way they can. One wily bird, nicknamed “Steven Seagull,” walks into a convenience store and helps himself to the bags of chips on the lower shelves. At an unspecified beach, a woman tried to eat a salad. She was swarmed by seagulls and abandoned her meal to run.
