Military deployments typically have dates set in stone. They extend more often than they end early. Abby Nolan’s boyfriend, Logan, returned home from deployment two months early, giving the couple time to plan some surprises for their families. The first surprise visit was to Abby’s parents. Abby’s mom is a cussy mom, and she lets loose with a colorful one-word expletive at the very end. You’ve been warned.

Her mom suspected something because Abby was recording video while she sat on the porch. When a strange car parked out front, it took her mere seconds to realize who the driver was. That 55-year-old woman can RUN! She jumped up and swung off the porch, trampled through the flower garden, and ran to the curb in a flash.
As Logan stepped around the front of the vehicle, Abby’s mom wrapped him in a giant bear hug and didn’t want to let go. Everyone was all smiles as Abby caught up with the camera. A moment later, Abby’s dad came sauntering across the lawn, nonchalantly, as if his daughter’s boyfriend came home early from deployment every day. It isn’t on video, but we can imagine a firm handshake and maybe a light bro hug in typical dad fashion.
Next up were Logan’s parents. Abby made up an excuse that she was over there to drop something off. When the front door camera went off, Logan’s mom saw it from the kitchen and plowed through Abby and Logan’s dad like a linebacker going for the sack. Both parents cursed a few times in disbelief.
Celebrating her boyfriend’s early homecoming was heartwarming for both families. It’s always better when you can surprise both families.
