Brianna Patz and her family have placed her grandpa in a nursing home. Grandpa Jerry is a frequent guest and fan favorite on Brainna’s TikTok feed. During a contest at the nursing home, residents decorated their room doors. When the voting was finished and the winners were announced, Grandpa Jerry was a happy man.

He was so proud of himself! Brianna reminds her fans that this is why showing up is essential. Grandpa Jerry couldn’t resist showing off his award to nursing home staff and friends as they walked to his room for the door reveal. Happy to show off his handiwork, the video popped to an earlier recorded segment of the decorating process.

He started with a plain orange background drape. A sparkling garland was taped up along the top and sides, creating a framed area highlighting the top portion of the door. Halloween cutouts filled in the gaps to finish the look. Grandpa Jerry was super proud of his door, smiling from ear to ear. Although his decorating level doesn’t match that of some people, it was full of heart.
