Phil Positive is working to eliminate negativity one fish at a time. His tagline on TikTok reads, “Framing my hobby in a picture-perfect way sharing fun fishy educational content.” This creative soul has built an aquarium wall that is alive with color and movement. Each tank is framed into a recess in the wall, leaving only one side visible.

The owner accesses the tanks from behind the wall for cleaning and maintenance. The wall is free-standing. It uses bookcases and shelving units as the core components to hold the weight of the tanks and water. The side facing the room resembles a real wall. Frames enclose the front of each tank, giving the impression of moving pictures along the wall.

The wall has received several upgrades, changing many times, and may never be complete. In comparison, it bears a resemblance to the Winchester House in San Jose, California. That house holds the record for the longest continuous house construction. Beginning in 1886, construction ran continuously for 38 years until 1924.

Utilizing the space effectively, Phil has installed shelves under the tanks that hold collapsible cubes. These can be very useful for storing a variety of items. No one knows how long Phil will continue to fuss with and tweak his aquarium wall. Currently, it appears to be a professionally installed feature. As summer approaches quickly, this is a perfect indoor hobby.

Not all of Phil’s aquariums contain fish. The display currently consists of 15 tanks and 21 frames. One of the tanks houses an axolotl. There might be other adorable animals.
