Ted Danson Says He “Nauseatingly In Love” 30 Years After Marrying Mary Steenburgen

Ted Danson Love

When Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen first met at an audition in 1983, the timing wasn’t right for love. It wasn’t until a decade later when they reconnected on the set of Pontiac Moon, that their romance bloomed. The couple married in October of 1995 and truly lived happily ever after. Ted spoke about the love of his life during a recent episode of the podcast Where Everybody Knows Your Name. Ted co-hosts the show with former Cheers co-star Woodly Harrelson. The pair talked about the upcoming season of Ted Danson’s hit Netflix show Man On The Inside, and Mary Steenburgen was joining the cast.

Even After More Than Three Decades, Ted Danson Said He’s “Nauseatingly In Love”

Ted Danson pulls no punches when it comes to Mary Steenburgen and feels very fortunate to have her in his life.

“Oh, it’s just magical. We’re falling in love. The story evolves, but I’m just head-over-heels in love with her, and to sit there on camera and look into your wife’s eyes. And we’re nauseatingly in love in private life, and to just disappear into her eyes in front of a camera is pretty astounding,” Ted Danson said.

Podcast guest Brett Goldstein told Ted that he doesn’t quite understand couples working together and started in with rapid-fire questions.

“I am freaked out by the idea of couples who act together. How does it work? And how do you leave your house? You go to work together, in the car? And then what happens? Did you act together before you got together?”

Ted Danson said that bringing Mary Steenburgen onto the show means a lot to him.

“I realized part of my job is to host my wife. I was here last year. I am this ‘Man on the Inside.’ And if she doesn’t have a wonderful time, I’m an a–hole. And that’s on me. And that’s just my attitude,” he explained.

Netflix has not announced the premiere of Man On The Inside season 2, but we promise that it’s one you won’t want to miss.
