“I Woke Up And Couldn’t Find My Fiancé, And He’s Been In The Yard Since 6AM…”

Side-view of a man sitting in an outdoor chair in the yard. He's bundled up in cozy clothes and a blanket. He sips from a mug as he looks away from the camera.

There are many things that Savannah Nicholson loves about her fiancé, Dillon Beatty, and his genuine love of animals must be high on that list. There are a number of ways in which he shows this, but nothing could have prepared her for this. Early one morning, Savannah woke up to find that Dillon was not in bed with her. Much to her surprise, her fiancé was awake in the yard… and had been since 6 AM.

“Protect that man with your life!! He is such a keeper!!!” someone writes in reply to Savannah’s video. Others add, “Greenest of all flags” and “Marry him faster.”

This Woman Learns Her Fiancé Has Been Awake in the Yard Since 6 AM for the Sweetest Reason Ever

Dillon has absolutely no reason to keep these birds safe other than the fact he simply wants to do so. We love to see it! As surprising as this moment may have been, it wasn’t all that out of nowhere for Savannah. Turns out, this isn’t the first time her fiancé has done something like this for birds.

How many people do you know that would take the time to help create a better nest for doves? It’s truly inspiring to see what Dillon is willing to do in order to help our animal friends. The cherry on top is that he has evidence that he’s doing something right.

Despite the struggles those doves faced last year, Savannah is happy to report that mama bird is back again this summer! In fact, she successfully had two babies. How sweet is that!?
