Little Girl Decides She’d Rather Not Share The Spotlight During Daddy-Daughter Dance

When you’re a girl dad, you might have to make some sacrifices. Hannah Harrison and her husband, Mills, have their hands full with their young daughter, Everly. Recently, Mills was escorting Everly during a daddy-daughter dance. Things started well, with Mills adeptly spinning his daughter like a beautiful ballerina. That only lasted three seconds before Everly had some thoughts of her own.

Yep. Everly decided it was her dance, and she kicked her dad to the curb to spin alone in the spotlight. When he tried to reintegrate himself into the daddy-daughter dance, she gave him a low-five slap and continued on her way.

Cutting his losses, Mills scooped up his little ballerina and decided to finish the dance with her in his arms. However, Everly wasn’t done yet. She flung her arms wide, seeming to acknowledge all her adoring fans. Putting her back down, she graciously allowed her dad to perform a few more spins. They executed a few box steps and another spin before the ballerina broke away again.

Everly is only five, and she is already this independent. Poor Mills. He will have his hands full as she grows into her teens. This tiny dynamo didn’t save up her energy for this one dance. She showed off her independence and free spirit during a recital, too.

Hannah and Mills just had their second child, Jack. Everly is a big sister, and she takes those responsibilities seriously. She might miss being the only child, but that won’t dampen her spirit. We don’t know if Hannah and Mills plan to grow their family. For now, they seem perfect. You can follow Hannah on TikTok and Instagram for more of Everly’s silliness.
