Experiences with ride-sharing services can be hit or miss. Perhaps that’s part of the reason why this man puts so much effort into making his rides so nice. One way this Uber driver does this is by having the most adorable companion by his side… his very own dog, Timber! Needless to say, folks absolutely love getting the chance to spend time with a pup while headed to their destination.

On his social media pages, the man shares clips from some of his most memorable rides. (With the riders’ permission, it seems.) One that stands out shows a woman hop into the car alone. She’s barely gotten the chance to get comfortable when Timber starts to make his way toward her. In fact, he insists on sitting right next to her. And, based on what the woman reveals soon after, it may be because Timber could sense she needed to be comforted. Find out why in the video below.
@timbersgottaroll it's always so hard losing a pet. I'm glad timber was there to bring her comfort. @Daniella it was so great meeting you! #uberdog #uberbark #dogs #goldenretriever #aussie #bestfriend #uber #lyft #alldogsgotoalldogsgotoheaven ♬ original sound – Timbersgottaroll
Woman’s Uber Ride Includes an Empathetic Dog
In making small talk with the woman, it’s revealed that she recently lost her own dog. Simply sharing this devastating fact has her in tears. Luckily, both Timber and the Uber driver know exactly what to do and say in order to help her feel better. While Timber gives her much-needed cuddles, the man empathizes. He understands all too well what it’s like to lose a pet.
Eventually, the man even gets to reassure her that it’s okay if she gets another pet one day. Her fear is that she’d be “replacing” her other dog. But as the Uber driver so beautifully puts it, that is simply not possible.
“You’re never losing that love for that dog,” the man tells the grieving woman. “You’re just finding love in your heart for another.”
