To help get kids out of child labor on cocoa farms in west Africa we started giving away free breakfast at schools (kids are more likely to go if they know they will be fed) and one school’s attendance is already up 10% in the first week 😮

The new program has already created great numbers in the first week. The premise is simple. MrBeast is offering free breakfast at schools. Food insecurity is a huge problem in many areas, both abroad and in the United States. Although he doesn’t talk about them, MrBeast has several food programs helping in the US, too.
With this new program designed to decrease child labor in west Africa the numbers are incredible. In just the first week there has been an increase of 10 percent in school attendance. For the promise a free breakfast.

Traditionally, children head off to work on the cocoa farms for low wages. The work exposes children to harmful chemicals, using sharp tools, lifting heavy weights, and inhaling smoke from burning fields. The Bureau of International Labor Affairs states that 1.56 million children work in cocoa production in Ghana and along the Ivory Coast.
MrBeast intends to focus on this initiative for the next year. He brings along an audience of 375 million subscribers across social media, promoting and spreading the message. In addition to philanthropic efforts, MrBeast is the host of Amazon Prime show “Beast Games.” Entering its second season, the show is not without controversy.
