An adorable 7-year-old girl from Birmingham in the West Midlands, England is going viral after cameras captured her wearing her new prosthetic leg– a custom-made sports blade– for the first time.

The little girl is named Anu, and she has had to wear a prosthetic every day since her right leg was amputated shortly after she was born. In the video below, Anu shows off a newer, more sophisticated prosthetic leg which was custom made for her thanks to the National Health Service, England’s publicly funded healthcare system.
As she proudly marches through her school’s playground, it’s clear her new, bright-pink blade is a source of pride.

And why wouldn’t it be? Her classmates certainly seem to think it’s pretty cool!
The girls all crowd around Anu, awe-struck. “Is that your new pink leg?” asks one little girl. Another chimes in with an enthusiastic “Wow!” One can only respond to her friend with a warm hug.

It’s truly beautiful to see how these children react to their “disabled” friend. Even more beautiful is seeing little Anu running and playing alongside her peers.
