A precious photo shoot of a 4-year-old girl in her mother’s wedding dress is going viral but the story behind the pictures will melt your heart even more. Mother Amber Davis, was suffering from a rare type of cervical cancer last year and asked for her daughter Nora to wear her wedding dress and take photographs at the venue where she married Nora’s father, Derek Davis.
Nora was able to fulfill her mother’s dying wishes in a touching photo shoot captured by Amber’s close friend Heidi Spillane of My Three Arrows Photography. Before she passed away, Amber reached out to Heidi after seeing pictures of a little girl in her mother’s wedding dress and the two started planning the shoot for Nora.

The adorable photos were shared on My Three Arrows’ Facebook page along with this heartwarming caption by Heidi:
“Sweet Nora lost her beautiful mother Amber last year. Nora was so excited to put on Mommy’s fancy wedding dress and be photographed at her parent’s wedding venue. I can remember the day Amber texted me a picture of a little girl in her Mom’s wedding dress and we started planning. Amber, photographing this session without you was never in the plan but we felt you there, smiling and so proud of your sweet girl.”

Nora was surrounded by some of her family including her dad and Amber’s sister, who were all moved deeply by the shoot.
“She talks about her mom all the time, she misses her so much,”Adrianne Blackwelder, Amber’s sister told PEOPLE. “During prayers she says, ‘Dear God, thank you that my mommy is not sick anymore in heaven.’ But she knows she’ll see Amber again.â€

In a special picture, Nora’s father Derek held her to recreate a photo he took with his wife on their wedding day.
