3 Bible Quotes To Brighten Your Day

Whether you are Christian or not, the Bible contains significant wisdom that can brighten our days. The overall message is one of love and positivity. If you have studied any religion, the resounding message in most religious texts is “Just be nice.” So, with that thought in mind, let’s look at Bible quotes with a positive message. Our verses are from the New International Version (NIV). While the wording may differ slightly from other versions, the message remains the same.

1. “Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.” Proverbs 16:24 (NIV)

When we are feeling vexed, angry, or simply out of sorts, remembering this short Bible quote can help. Practicing gracious words will spread sweetness to all you interact with. Our parents taught us this by saying, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything.” Using gracious language also benefits you. When you compliment someone or smile and wish them a good day, it returns to you.

2. “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13 (NIV)

Rely on a higher power when you find yourself struggling. For Christians, that is God. For other folks, your source of strength may be something or someone else. Regardless of your beliefs, you can use that additional resource to boost your inner strength and overcome hardship. Having faith that your higher power is behind you in all things helps you stay on a positive track. A second Bible quote that lends itself to this conversation is, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1 (NIV)

3. “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV)

When you think you have nothing, you are still rich if you have faith, hope, and love. This verse lets us know that love can bring us faith and hope. Love is all-inclusive. Self-love, love for a partner, children, parents, siblings, and friends. When you have love in your life, you have the building blocks to have a lifetime of wonderful days. Be a beacon of faith and hope by spreading a little love. Smile, and the world will smile back.

No matter what lifestyle you have, adding a little sunshine to each day is never a bad thing. Remember that you are not alone in facing the trials of each day. Every morning brings a new day with the potential to be warm and bright. What you put into the day, you will get back. Try to begin your day with a smile and a little love in your heart!
