16-Month-Old Hilariously Starts Walking For The First Time Like It’s Nothing

A toddler looks over at the camera as she starts to walk away from the toddler-sized chair she was sitting in.

As a parent, there are certain milestones in your children’s lives that you’re sure to never forget. For many, this includes the moment their little one takes their very first steps. The McFam family on social media already experienced this once with their first child, Evie. Still, nothing could have prepared them for the moment their second child, Lulu, would start walking for the first time. At a little over 16 months old, they knew the moment could happen any time.

Then, one day… it did! Seriously, there was almost no transition between “huh, how does walking work?” and “I’m an expert walker.” We get a glimpse of Lulu’s expertise in walking thanks to the video below. In it, we see just how easily this little one goes from sitting to walking all the way across the room, almost like she’s been doing this for the entirety of her short life.

Mom can’t help but express the awe and confusion she has over Lulu’s ability to walk like it’s nothing. The little girl, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to understand the confusion: Is walking hard or something?

Mom Catches Her Toddler Walking for the First Time… Maybe?

According to countless folks in the comments, however, it seems that Lulu make have been sneaky. Turns out, it’s pretty common for a toddler to practice walking when no one else is around. So, perhaps it wasn’t her first time after all!

“I used to watch my oldest on the monitor in her room,” a fellow parent writes, “she would walk any time I left the room and then drop to the floor when she heard me coming.”

“When I was 15 and my little sister was 1 she would only practice walking around me and refused to around our parents,” another person shares. “I think a lot of babies hide stuff like that, it’s funny.”
