The homeless all around the world live on the fringes of society. They are cast aside, ignored and told to leave or suffer the consequences.
A simple act of kindness is going viral when a passerby snapped this photo of two young men interacting on the street. They can’t be more than a few years apart in age, but fate dealt them a very different hand.
After seeing this barefoot homeless man on the street, the young man in the black jacket decided to help by giving him a pair of (seemingly) brand-new shoes.

Though they didn’t know each other, he treated him like a true friend.
And the moment they share on the sidewalk is too beautiful for words. You can tell they are sharing something deeply emotional and deeply human. It’s evident in their faces.

As the reality of his gesture finally hit home, this young homeless man broke down completely. His reaction stemmed from the reality that someone took their time and money to do something so selfless for him.

While thousands of acts of kindness like this never get captured on camera, it is refreshing to see a genuine one like this be exposed to the world. It reminds us of this: in the midst of tragedy and heartache, our world can still be great with simple love lived out like this.
