This Young Girl’s Whitney Houston Cover Had Judges Immediately Turning.

Ever since Dolly Parton originally wrote and recorded “I Will Always Love You” in 1973, it’s been covered and released dozens of times, the most famous being Whitney Houston’s version. The heart-wrenching lyrics (“If I should stay, I would only be in your way. So I’ll go, but I know I’ll think of you each step of my way…”) have touched thousands of hearts, but one young girl’s cover particularly blew us away with its simplicity and heart.

Her name is Laura Zingt, and she first performed her rendition of the classic tune on The Voice Kids, Netherlands edition. When she begins to sing, the judges are immediately stirred. They can’t resist not watching her perform, and all four quickly turn their chairs around.

Laura’s clear voice and the subtle country twang she infuses into this ballad strikes the judges, and her beautiful new version of this powerful song has judges and audience members alike cheering.

Her performance is a testament to the fact that raw talent– free of any fanfare or gimmicks– is out there. Sometimes the most simple performances are the ones you remember most.

Watch her moving song below and be reminded that the most beautiful and inspirational thing you can do is to simply be yourself.
