Audience Loses It When Senior Choir Sings Outkast’s “Hey Ya” In Hilarious Performance.

When the senior singing group ‘Young At Heart’ was first imagined in 1982, all of the members lived in an elderly housing project in Northampton, MA. Best of friends and itching for something to do, ‘Young At Heart’ decided to put on a concert. The show sold out 4 times in a row. The group soon hit the road on a choir tour where their fun loving, youthful spirit stole hearts all over the nation. They’ve even toured Europe!

Though these seniors are certainly young at heart, they’ve seen and experienced more of the world than many of us. The original group consisted of members that had lived through both world wars, the great depression and many other world changing events. It’s truly wonderful to see the life and joy left in their strong spirits.

This time around, Young At Heart decided to take a new spin on a catchy tune that’s now become a classic. The tune starts with a polka melody that sounds surprisingly familiar, then the choir breaks out in song, “Heyyyy yaaaaaa.â€

That’s right. You’re about to see a gaggle of seniors sing their hearts out to Outkast’s ‘Hey Ya.’ And it’s easily the most amazing thing you’ll see today.
