There is nothing more painful for a parent than losing a child. No one should ever experience that kind of grief. When it happens, having a close-knit group of friends and family to help with the emotional load can make all the difference for moms and dads. Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber unexpectedly lost their son, Presley, on September 20, 2026. As soon as their dearest friends heard the news, they wrapped the family with love and have reportedly been with them nonstop ever since. George Clooney, Rande Gerber’s business partner, stepped up immediately, a source told People.

“George, Amal, and a few of their other close friends have been taking shifts staying with the family so they aren’t alone,” the source said.

For Years, George Clooney Has Been Like an Uncle to Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber’s Kids

The source added that George Clooney has been in Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber’s lives for years.

“George and Amal joined the family in Los Angeles after learning of Presley’s death,” the source explained. “They’re helping with arrangements and whatever else the family needs. George has always been very close with both Kaia and Presley.”

Losing Presley was a complete shock to his family. Right now, Cindy, Rande, and Kaia are doing their best to work through this tough time. The 27-year-old model reportedly passed away from a drug overdose at a treatment facility. No further details have been released regarding his passing.

A second source told People that Presley will be missed by many.

“Presley was such a caring and charismatic person; he truly led with his heart and made people feel special and seen,” they said. “Presley was sweet and easy to be around; the world is a little less kind now that he’s gone.”
