“You Just Fulfilled Your Destiny.” Minor League Baseball Player Has Big News For Mom.

When your dreams become a reality, who are you going to tell first?

For Wynton Bernard, a person high on that list was his mom. He’s always had his sights set on making it to the big leagues in baseball and, for the past decade, he’s been working hard to make that happen. Still, with time, the Minor League player began to wonder if it was possible, and he took a break from the sport for a while.

Then, in 2020, Bernard caught the right person’s attention: Bud Black. The Colorado manager took note of the talented athlete and kept him in mind. Fast forward to August of this year, and he ended up offering Bernard a contract that has him signed up with the Major League team, the Colorado Rockies! Before even knowing all of the details of the when and how, Bernard FaceTimed his mom to give her the unbelievable news.

As soon as he did, Mom began to cry tears of joy and, in turn, so did Bernard.

“I love you so much,” he told her. “Thank you for everything, mom. Thank you. Thank you for supporting me. I couldn’t do this without you.”

“You fulfilled your destiny, son,” she replied. “And I love you.”

Watch this wholesome moment between Bernard and his mom below, and don’t forget to share.
