When she stepped into the spotlight, Yoo Jiny looked like she couldn’t speak, much less sing.
But her audition on the South Korean reality television show “KPOP STAR” showed she was truly a force to be reckoned with, even at the young age of 13. The series lasted only six seasons, but it gave the world the opportunity to hear some stellar performances. And among those was Yoo’s cover of “I’m Not The Only One,”by English singer/songwriter Sam Smith.

The judges seemed to scoff at Yoo when she stepped up for her audition. She shook off some nerves and nodded that she was ready. And the second she opened her mouth, the room went silent.

The judges were obviously stunned when they heard the big voice coming from such a small girl.

“What did I just hear from a 13 year old? Is this even possible? I’m enchanted by her voice,”one commenter raved.
“How can she pull up such an emotion at that age?”wondered another.
During the competition, Yoo advanced to the top 10 but eventually was eliminated. Still, this is one talented young lady who showed a massive amount of potential at an early age. It’s anybody’s guess what the future holds!
