Catherine Lucre of Australia is a mother of 4 and grandmother of 3. Back in 2014, Catherine was horrified to learn that there was a sharp increase in infants being abandoned by their parents. She determined to do whatever she could to keep these helpless infants safe.
And so, Operation Safe Haven was born.
Catherine leaves a bassinet by her front door for any mother that feels they can no longer care for their child. “If you’re in distress or don’t know what to do or you’re scared or alone or worried for whatever reason… if you just have no other means of caring for your infant, contact me.†What has happened over the years is astounding.
