Set in 19th century France, Les Misérables is a powerful story all about revolution and love. According to The Kennedy Center, it’s still considered to be the world’s most popular musical. This is reflected in the fact that over 130 million people in 53 countries have seen it. Despite this large number of performances, none have been quite as unique as a woman who goes by Shelbs online.

Shelbs’ love of musical theater, and singing in general, can’t be overstated. She and her family are all about showing off their musical talents. Luckily for us all, the ways in which they share these talents with the world are oh-so-entertaining. For example, when she was in high school, Shelbs recorded and edited a video so eight different versions of herself could contribute to a rendition of One More Day. See the hilarious result in the video below!

High Schooler’s Hilariously Creative Take on One More Day from Les Misérables Will Leave You in Stitches, Tears, or Both!
There is simply so much to admire about Shelbs’ creative take on this classic musical number. For starters, you’ve got to love her commitments to each and every part. The costumes and make up were on point! Then there are her sneaky little signs that both explain and poke some fun at what’s happening with these characters. Oh, and there’s also the fact that she’s actually a legit talented singer.
“I wish I was doing this instead of dating who I dated in high school,” someone hilariously admits in reply to Shelbs’ video. Other commenters add, “Theater kids are built different” and “This proves unequivocally that any version of this song will give me chills.”
Wish people would say that you’re as Broadway ready as Shelbs? I highly recommend trying out a class to perfect your skills. Who knows, perhaps you’ll find out you’re a natural dancer, like this man!
