Usually when we see animals on the news, it is because they did something funny or cute, or maybe they were being rescued from a dangerous situation.

But if you really think about it, how many times have we actually heard from the animals themselves? The answer is most likely zero.

Thankfully, YouTuber Maya Higa is trying to change that one “tiny mic interview” at the time. For more than a year, Maya has been trying to give animals the air time they deserve – by giving them a voice… yes, literally!

In a wholesome video, Maya shows more than 20 “interviews” with a variety of animals located in a permitted facility in California called ZooTo You Conservation Ambassadors. In this video, she interviews a porcupine, a hawk, a goat, and many more fun and adorable animals. While some of them seem to be very comfortable on camera and take great advantage of this opportunity, others just seem to be more camera-shy and opt for the “no comment” option.

And for those that may not speak their language, don’t fret… Maya made sure to include captions for all of us humans!

Watch Maya interviewing all kinds of animals with her tiny microphone below and don’t forget to share.
