Wife Takes Husband To Where “Star Wars” Scenes Were Filmed In Death Valley & His Reaction Is Pure Joy

Most “Star Wars” fans know that many of the scenes were filmed on location in Death Valley. Rachel Reigard used that knowledge and combined it with a Valentine’s Day surprise to complete her husband’s life. She took him on a tour of the area, visiting locations of iconic scenes from the movie.

The “Star Wars” Death Valley adventure began by driving to the desert. As they bounced from location to location, you could see the pure amazement and joy on her husband’s face. If Death Valley wasn’t such a h***scape, you might think he felt like he was in heaven.

Death Valley can be excruciatingly hot from mid-March until mid-October, making February an ideal time to visit the area for outdoor sightseeing. Wearing light jackets, the couple enjoyed a cool breeze during their visit.

Rachel Reigard is a pastor, author, and eager traveler. Her husband, Josh, works with a national youth ministry. The 30-ish couple has been together for around ten years, but who is counting? They enjoy a happy and healthy life with their three animals, Waffles, Biscuit, and Gravy. Waffles is a waddling little Corgi. Biscuits and Gravy are cats with full-time jobs at the biscuit factory, specializing in kneading.

When they aren’t busy inspiring people through their ministry, the couple travels. Rachel writes a positive message blog and maintains a website for her books. She also introduces children to the Bible and maintains a positive lifestyle.

As the couple toured Death Valley, visiting “Star Wars” filming locations, they display a genuine appreciation for life. We can all take a message from that. Enjoy where you are and what you are doing.
