Can you believe it’s almost Thanksgiving already? We’re excited to spend the holiday sharing a delicious meal with the people we love most. Another beloved tradition we’re looking forward to celebrating is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York! Originated in 1924, this seasonal spectacle continues to delight viewers across the country every year. Highlights almost always include gorgeous floats, talented performers, and, of course, our favorite cartoon characters blown up to giant proportions!
This year, Macy’s gave us a sneak peak at their balloon lineup on Instagram. Inflatable characters will include the Pillsbury Doughboy, Snoopy, and Monkey D. Luffy from the popular anime-turned-Netflix-series “One Piece,” among others.

Wondering where to watch or stream the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? You can view it live on NBC or NBC’s streaming platform, Peacock. You’ll want to get up a little earlier than last year, though; the 2023 parade begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 12 p.m. ET. According to USA Today, that means we’re getting an extra half-hour of festivities!
