Napoleon is a senior pig. He’s old, and his bones hurt; he hates any inclement weather. Well, in truth, he hates any weather, even bright sunny days. Napoleon is too old to care about collecting all the tea around the barnyard. He’s content to stay inside most days. His friend Hubert continuously checks in on him, and it’s the sweetest thing.

Whether it’s cold or just rainy, when Napoleon opts to remain inside, Hubert is thinking about his friend. The gentle younger pig brings his friend extra straw to keep the senior pig cozy.
Hubert ensures Napoleon is comfortable whenever the senior pig stays inside. He takes special care to tuck Napoleon in snugly so he can nap in cozy warmth. The level of compassion that Hubert shows toward his friend is incredible.
Napoleon and Hubert live at the Farm Animal Rescue and Rehoming Movement (FARRM) near Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada. The animal rescue provides a loving home for farm animals that have been surrendered or abused. They provide for any animals until it is their time to cross the Rainbow Bridge.
FARRM opened in 2013 due to an increasing number of potbelly pigs. Melissa Foley was able to rescue and re-home over 100 potbelly pigs in their first year. Since then, they have expanded to rescue, care for, and re-home other farm animals. The first line of the mission statement tells us what FARRM is all about: “Together we hope to create a world where we are no longer needed.”
It would seem that Hubert has a gift of compassion. You can follow FARRM on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. You can sponsor a rescued animal or make a donation on their website.
Please share Hubert’s incredible compassion.
