When Border Collie Gets Lost, She Knows Exactly Who To “Ask” For Help.

They say that every dog has their day – a point in time when they are destined to stand out from the rest of the pack.

For one dog in Loughborough, England, her moment of glory has arrived.

In a recent video, the black border collie named Rosie can be seen entering a building through automatic doors and finally sitting down. While this feat alone might raise some eyebrows, the story behind it is truly astounding.

Rosie was out on a walk in Southfields Park when a firework sent her running. A rescue dog, Rosie was likely startled by the loud and unexpected noise. She quickly disappeared through the hedge, leaving behind her owner, Steve Harper, and another family dog named Laser. But where did Rosie go?!

Within minutes, Rosie navigated her way to Loughborough Police Station and waited patiently in the reception area. It wasn’t long before this adorable visitor was spotted by staff and rewarded for being such a smart girl.

“Our staff fetched some water for Rosie, and made fast friends with plenty of fuss,” police later shared in a Facebook post. “What a lovely, clever dog.”

Fortunately, Rosie was equipped with a collar and identification chip. Police quickly reached out to Julie Harper and informed her of Rosie’s whereabouts.

We’re so glad Rosie is back with her family!
