For years, we’ve all been under the impression that Vanna White shows up to work every day in a ballgown and turns those letters hour after hour, right? Well, it appears that’s not the case at all.

Vanna’s gig is even busier than we could have imagined. The game show icon told Elvis Duran and the Morning Show that her job of more than four decades isn’t nearly as hectic as we all thought. We’ve all been having dinner with Vanna for the last 42 years, but she’s not actually turning those letters live. “We film about 34 days a year,” Vanna said. “That’s it.”
Vanna White May Only Work A Few Days a Month, But They Are Crazy Days
Vanna explained. “But [we film] six shows a day. Come on. You could feel bad for me.”
“I do not feel sorry for you one bit,” Elvis joked. “That sounds like a great job.”
“That’s six different dresses a day,” Danielle Monaro realized.
“It is,” a happy Vanna said.
But even though Vanna White doesn’t work as many days as most of us, she’s worn more than 8,000 gowns during her time on Wheel of Fortune. It’s an incredible feat.
“So weird. You have 331 days off a year?” Elvis asked.
“He’s doing the math,” Danielle said.
“Yes, I guess so,” Vanna laughed.
Her fans didn’t seem to mind. Another did the math and thinks Vanna White is getting exactly what she deserves.
They were, “34 days of work in a year and your net worth is over 80 million!!! Youuuu WIN!!”
This person loves Vanna, “An American icon if ever there was one!”
Others claimed to have met her and no one had a bad thing to say about Vanna White. “I met her one time, she came to my previous employment. And she was so kind. She took the time to meet and shake hands with everyone. She was lovely.”
